UPSC Recruitment 2022: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has opened applications for the position of Scientist B and Junior Scientific Officer and various other vacant positions.
Candidates who meet the required qualifications and are interested in the position may apply for the position after having read the notice. Up to 52 positions are vacant as per the announcement by UPSC.

Senior Design Officer Grade I- 1 post
Candidates must have an undergraduate degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent. Additionally, the candidates must have five years of practical experience in the design/installation/construction of ships.
Scientist “B” (Documents) 7 posts
The applicants must hold a Master’s from a recognized institution in Chemistry or Physics or Forensic Science with Chemistry or Physics as one of the subjects for the three years of the Bachelor of Science from a recognized university or institute. Three years of experience in analytical methods and research therein in the field of Documents Examination from a government-recognized organization or institution
Scientist “B” (Forensic Narcotics)- 3 posts
Candidates must have a Master’s degree or equivalent in Chemistry or Biochemistry from a recognized institution or Institute, or an advanced degree in Forensic Science that includes Chemistry being one of their subjects within the entire three years of an undergraduate degree in Science in a nationally recognized university or institute.
Junior Scientist (Ballistics)-1 post
The applicants must hold a Master’s qualification with a concentration in Physics or Mathematics, or Applied Mathematics or Forensic Science with Physics or Mathematics as a subject throughout the three years of the Bachelor of Science from a recognized university or Institute.
Assistant Architect- 13 posts
Candidates must have an Architectural Degree from a recognized university or Institution, and be recognized by the Council of Architecture as an architect.
Assistant Professor (Ayurveda) – 1 post
Applicants are required to have a Degree in Ayurveda Medicine from a University established by law or statutory board/faculty/examining body of Indian Medicine or equivalent as recognized under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act 1970.
Drugs Inspector Drugs Inspector – 26 posts
The applicants must hold an undergraduate degree of Pharmacy, in the field of Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Science Medicine with a particularization in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from an institution that was established in India as per law.
